C04_IMPLANT_TOOTH Missing or badly damaged teeth can now be replaced with dental implants! Implants are a titanium root analogue that is implanted into bone in relatively the same position as the previous natural tooth. The procedure is simple and can be carried out under local anesthetic. For some patients who choose it, sedation can also be utilized for this procedure.

After the implant is placed a healing period of 3-6 months takes place in order for the implant to integrate into the bone. Immediately after the healing period an impression (mold) is taken and of the implant's position and this is sent to a dental laboratory for the manufacturing of the crown (tooth). The next step is to permanently fix the tooth to the implant. This procedure is very simple and often requires no local anesthetic. Hence, a new tooth is born.
